Getting started

BEAM-REPORT does not require any further installation or registration operation, it can be run immediately after installation. Its user interface is quite simple and intuitive, however it is recommended to read at least the first part of the User Manual (concepts and principles).

At the first use of BEAM-REPORT, it is recommended to define at least the following user settings :

Name and initials of the user
Name and acronym of the entity represented by the user
Preferred directories for the BEAM-REPORT Documents and Standards

Prior to implementing BEAM-REPORT in your company or entity, it may be suitable to carry out an analysis of your reporting needs and methods, and on the resulting standards, in order to take most benefit from BEAM-REPORT's features. Be aware that, although it can be used as a traditional text editor, BEAM-REPORT brings a completely new dimension in the handling of textual information, and opens possibilities that you just did not imagine before.
